East Bay Fellow
Amitai Glicksman

Hailing from New Jersey, Amitai Jesse Glicksman couldn’t be more excited to escape to the Bay Area. After spending two years studying Torah in the Jerusalem Hills of Mevaseret Zion, he returned to study Sociology and Jewish Studies at Yeshiva University but more recently decided to pursue a Business degree at Fairleigh Dickinson University. Passionate about sharing Torah (and low-cost travel), Amitai has coordinated classes and programs for a variety of synagogues and NCSY chapters in Georgia, Florida, South Carolina, New Jersey, Texas, and Colorado.
Amitai spends his summers working at Camp HASC, a summer camp for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. In his free time, he loves harmonica playing, people-watching, craft beer tasting, and attending live music shows, especially Phish and Dead & Company.
Amitai enjoys a nice crossword puzzle but is unfortunately not very good at them. Other skills that Amitai lacks include shaving, singing, and welding.
Amitai’s dream job is to be the mashgiach at the Ben & Jerry’s factory in Waterbury, Vermont, but if that doesn’t work out he hopes to earn a graduate degree in Social Work and enter the field of addiction and mental health counseling.
